Healthy Kolukattai, made by using Sathumavu, nattu sakkarai.. Because we are adding aval it will be soft for long hours.
Health Mix – 1 cup
Red thick aval ( Rice flakes)
Nattu Sakkarai – 1 cup
Coconut – 1 cup
Cardamom Powder, ghee
Dry roast aval for few minutes, powder it as rava. Add 1/2 cup hot water in it, mix, close and keep it for 10 minutes. Dry roast health mix for 4 minutes in low flame. Mix health mix, aval powder, cardamom powder.
In nattu Sakkarai add 1/2 cup water, Boil it, add to the Mavu, mix well. Add coconut, little ghee, mix. Make it as Kolukattai as shown in the video. Steem cook in medium flame for 15 minutes.
Serve along little coconut, ghee.
Adding aval is must, can add white aval also.
You can use brown sugar or jaggery.
Cook in medium flame for 15 minutes.
You can crush some Kolukattai, add coconut, brown sugar, ghee and serve it as like puttu.
