Horse gram Rasam. Traditional & healthy recipe, helps for weight loss. Can be have it with plain rice and as a soup
Horse gram- 1/8 cup.tamarind- amla size, tomato-1, rasam powder- 1 tea spoon, garlic cloves- 5, gingerly oil-1/2 spoon, mustard seed- 1/2 spoon, asafottida-1/8 spoon,salt, curry, coriander leaves
Soak horse gram over night. cook along a glass of water for 3 whistle.put tomato in hot horse gram water. take tamarind pulp,crush garlic. grind horse gram, tomato, curry, coriander leaves, add it to tamarind pulp, add salt and boil it for 3 minutes. Mix this to horse gram water. In oil fry mustard seeds, asafottida, rasam powder, garlic, curry leaves, add rasam ,mix well. Check for salt, if u want u can add some water. when it starts boiling, add coriander leaves and switch off.
