Apple Halwa is sweet dish made using Apple, Ghee and cashews. Halwa is a traditional Indian sweet preferably in South India.
Apple – 3 (Sliced into pieces)
Ghee – 3 Tbspn
Sugar – 2 or 3 cups
Cashews – 8 to 10
First smash the apple into fine pulp. Then heat the pan with 1 Tspn ghee. Add the smashed apple pulp to the hot ghee and stir it well. After 2 mins of boiling add sugar according to the pulp. The ratio is 1:1 (For 2 cups of pulp add 2 cups of sugar). Stir it well in a medium flame to get a thicker consistency. After 4 to 5mins add 1 Tbspn ghee and stir again. If you didn’t get the consistency then add 1 more spoon of ghee and stir it well until you get the halwa consistency. On the other side heat the ghee in saute pan and saute the cashews. Then add it to the halwa, mix it well. Now the tasty halwa is ready.
