This is not a sambar or pulli kulambu, a different kulambu made by using freshly grinded masala. Raddish Fresh Masala Gravy for rice. This is a no onion no garlic recipe.
Raddish – 500 gm
Tamarind – Amla size
Thour dhal, gram dhal, Coriander seeds – 2 tsp each
Jeera – 1 tsp
Methi seeds – 1/4 tsp
Red chilly – 5
Coconut – 1 tbs
Dry roast all as shown and grind it to a smooth paste by adding water.
Salt, jaggery, gingerly oil, mustard seeds, gram dhal, hing, curry leaves.
Peel the skin and cut raddish into thin slices. In 1/2 tsp of oil fry raddish for a minute and add tamarind pulp and water, close and cook for 5,6 minutes.
Add grinded masala, water, salt and cook for 5 minutes. Add a tsp of jaggery.
In 2 tsp of oil fry mustard seeds, gram dhal, hing, curry leaves and add it to the kulambu.
Now through aromatic Mullangi Kulambu is ready. Serve with hot rice and appalam.
