Arisi Parrupu Vella Payasam is made using Raw rice, lentils, jaggery and ghee.
Raw rice: 1 laddle
Moong Dal: 1 laddle
Bengal gram: 1 laddle
Milk: 350 ml
ghee: 1 tbspn
jaggery: 3 laddles
cardamom powder: 1 tspn
dry ginger powder: 2 pinch
grated coconut: 1 tbspn
Dry roast raw rice, bengal gram and moong dal. Then soak for 30 minutes and cook it in cooker for 2 whistles by adding 1 glass of water and little milk. Once the rice and lentils is cooked mash it well, add 250 ml milk and stir it well. Heat the pan and melt the jaggery and strain it in the cooked rice and lentils. Add cardamom and dry ginger powders and boil it. On the other hand heat the saute pan with 1 spoon ghee and saute cashews, raisins and grated coconut.
Add the sauteed to the payasam and mix well. Now the payasam is ready.
