Aval Kesari ( Rice Flakes/ Poha) Butter Murruku are suitable for Krishna Jayanti Prasatham.
Aval Kesari
Thick aval – 1 cup
Sugar – 3/4 cup to 1 cup
Ghee, cardamon powder, saffron, cashew nut, dry grapes
Dry roast aval for 3 minutes, powder it course. In little ghee fry cashew, dry grapes, keep aside. Fry powdered aval for 2 minutes, add 2 cups of water, cook for few minutes.
Once it thicken, add sugar and cook for few minutes. Add saffron soaked in little hot milk. Add cardamom powder, roasted cashew, grapes. Add 4 tbs ghee, switch off.
Butter Murruku
Raw rice flour – 1 cup
Gram flour – 1/4 cup
Roasted gram flour – 1/4 cup
( powder roasted gram in mixi)
Butter – 1 tbs
Salt, hing , jeera, oil.
Mix all flours, salt, hing, jeera, Butter together, add water little by little and make it to a soft dove.Make murruku as shown.
