Badam Halwa is a favorite sweet for us.. If we do in oven it will be very easy.
Badam – 1 cup (200 Gm)
Sugar – 1 cup or 1 and 1/4 cup
Ghee – 5,6 tbs
Boiled Milk – 3/4 cup to 1 cup
Saffron – 2 pinch
Mix saffron in a tbs of hot milk. Soak badam in hot water for 15 minutes. Peel the skin as shown. Grind it along with milk.
Put the badam paste in a microwave safe bowl, add a tsp of ghee and cook in oven in microwave mode for 2 minutes.
Add sugar, mix and cook for 5 minutes. In between take out and mix once.
Add saffron milk and cook for 3 minutes. Add 4 tbs of ghee, mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
Take out and let it cool for 40 minutes. Check the consistency.. It should not be sticky. If it is sticking you can cook for 2 minutes. Add rest of the ghee and mix well.
Check the consistency after it gets to room temperature.
You will get around 400 Gm Halwa
