Beetroot is healthy and colorful vegetable. Let us see a delicious beetroot kuruma, which is suitable for Chappathi, Poori.
Beetroot – 1 (250 Gm)
Potato – 1 (100 gm)
Coriander seeds – 2 tsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
Cinnamon – 1, cloves – 2, cardamom – 1
Kasakasa – 1 tbs
Red chilly – 5
Coconut – 6 tbs
Roasted gram – 2 tbs or cashew nuts – 8
Small onions – 5
Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 tsp
Tomato – 1
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Grind all together to a smooth paste, by adding little water.
Salt, ghee, bay leaf, Coriander leaves.
In a cooker add beetroot and potatoes, little salt and 1/2 cup of water and cook for 1 whistle.
Stain the cooked water. In 1 tsp of ghee, fry bay leaf, add cooked vegetables and fry for a minute, add grinded paste, salt, and water. Cook for 5 minutes. Add Coriander leaves and switch off.
