Cabbage pakoda is a famous street side snacks in Andhra and North India. It is very tasty and crispy, similar to taste as onion pakoda. This is also a no onion no garlic recipe. This will a nice snack along with evening tea.
Ingredients
Cabbage – 3 cups chopped ( use only tender part, not stem)
Gram flour – 1 cup
Rice flour – 1/4 cup
Chilly powder – 1,1/2 tsp
Ginger paste – 1/4 tsp
Salt, oil, hing, curry leaves.
Steps
Put chopped cabbage in the bowl, without water. Add all other ingredients except oil.
Mix well all for 2,3 minutes., so that it naturally bind together. If needed, dip your hand in water and mix it with wet hand,.. So that it mix together. Don’t add any water. It should be thick and hard as shown in the video.
Heat oil in a pan. Add 2 tsp of warm oil on dove. Once oil is heated, put pakodas as shown. Deep fry in medium flame for about 5 minutes.
Take out and put it on a tissue, to remove excess oil. Fry the rest, in batches.
Serve it hot along tea or coffee. Enjoy your evening.
