Drumstick Gravy , made by using fresh masalas gives a nice taste and excellent aroma to this dish.Enjoy this with plain rice.
Ingredients To grind:
Gram dal – 2 tsp, thoor dal – 2 tsp, coriander seeds – 3 tsp, jeera – 1/2tsp, fenugreek seeds-1/4 spoon, red chilly – 6, coconut – 2 tbs, curry leaves – few.
Dry roast all this ingredients mentioned above and grind it to a smooth paste by adding 1/2 a cup of water.
Drumstick – 2, tamarind – amla size, turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp, salt, asafoetida, gingelly oil – 4 tsp, mustard seeds, red chilly – 1, curry leaves.
First prepare the pulp using tamarind. In oil fry mustard seeds, asafoetida, red chilly, drumstick, curry leaves and fry for a minute. Add turmeric powder, tamarind pulp, close and cook for 6 minutes.
Once drumstick is cooked 3/4 th, add grinded paste and salt. Add 2 cups of water and allow it to boil for 5 minutes, until the raw smell goes and drumstick is cooked.
Keep the gravy little watery, it will become thick when it cools down. Your house will be filled with nice aroma..while cooking this gravy.
