Garlic is very healthy, let us see a easy tasty garlic gravy. This is a traditional recipe of my grandma. This will be good for rice, Idly, dosa, and curd rice. You can store in fridge for 1 week.
Garlic – 3 hole garlic ( 1 cup of garlic cloves)
Small onions – 15
Tamarind – lemon size ( take out the pulp)
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Kulambu powder – 2 tsp
Coriander powder – 2 tsp
Jaggery – 2 to 3 tsp
Gingerly oil, rock salt, mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves.
Put garlic, onions, tamarind pulp, all Powders, salt in a cooker and cook for 2,3 whistles.
Add jaggery and mash it using a hand blender. Adjust the consistency by adding water.
In 3 tsp of oil fry mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves and add it to the gravy.
Keep it in stove and allow it to one boil.
No the healthy, tangy Poondu Masiyal is ready.
