Green Gram is a healthy and protein rich food. You can make this like a Sundal for Pooja and also have this as a Poriyal and snacks.
Ingredients
Green Gram – 100 Gm.
Onion – 1
Green chilly – 3
Coconut – 1 tbs
Oil, mustard seeds, hing, salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder, curry and Coriander leaves.
Steps
Dry roast green gram for 3,4 minutes. Wash and soak it for 2 hours. Cook it with little water for 2 whistles.
Add salt and mix to the cooked dhal. In 3 tsp of oil fry mustard seeds, hing, green chilly, onion, curry leaves. Add little turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp chilly powder.
Add cooked dhal, along with the cooked water. Cook for 3,4 minutes, until it gets dry. Add coconut, Coriander leaves and mix well.
