Palak is cooked along with Onion, green chilli, ginger garlic paste and some spices. Added fresh Panner.
One of my viewer Kalaivani from Gujarat, sent me this recipe. I tried and it tastes amazing.
This measures will be much enough for 8 to 10 person..
Palak – 1 large bunch
Panner – 250 gm
Big Onion – 3
Green chilly – 6 to 8
Ginger – 1″ inch
Garlic – 7 cloves
Coriander seeds – 2 tbs
Pepper – 1 tsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Black cardamon – 1
Green cardamon – 2
Cinnamon – 2
Cloves – 4
Wash palak, put in Kadai, add 1/4 cup water and cook open lid for 3,4 minutes. Grind it to a smooth paste by adding litte water.
Grind all other spices together to a fine paste. In 4 tsp of oil fry bay leaf, add Onion paste and cook in medium flame for 15 minutes, until oil comes out and masala is well cooked, without raw smell.
Add grinded palak, 3 glass of water, salt and cook for 5,6 minutes. Crush some Panner, add to the gravy, add cubed Panner and cook for 3,4 minutes.
Now yummy Gujarat style Palak Paneer Curry is ready. It will be very nice with Chappathi, roti, nan..
