Palm Sprouts in Tamil we say Pannam killangu is a very healthy snack. It is very rich in fiber. This video shows how to cook it. We can cook this with salt and eat it as a snack.
Wash it well and cut out the extra parts on both edges. If it is too long you can cut it into 2 pieces.
Cook it along water and salt for 4 whistles.
Now remove the skin. In center there is a stick and it’s soft edge only can be eaten.
Break it into 2 inch pieces as shown. Remove the excess fiber while breaking.
Now a healthy fiber rich snack is ready to eat.
