Tapiaco, in Tamil we say Kappa or Kuchi Killangu. Let us see how to make a Poriyal using this.. It will be nice as a side dish for rice and also as a snack.
Tapiaco – 1/4 kg
Big onion – 1
Green chilly – 2
Red chilly – 1
Oil,salt,curry, Coriander leaves, mustard seeds, ulund and gram dhals, hing.
Soak Tapiaco in water for 15 minutes. Peel the skin as shown in the video.
Cook along with water and salt in pressure cooker for 2 whistles.
Stain the water and let it cool. Cut into cubes as shown. Add little salt and mix.
In 3 tsp of oil fry mustard seeds, ulund, gram dhal, hing, add onion, chilly, curry leaves and fry for 3 minutes.
Add chopped Tapiaco, mix well, and keep in low flame for 3 minutes. Add Coriander leaves.
