Let us see how to make a Chutney using this, without bitter. Unless you say it is made by Sundai Kai, no one will find out.
Sundai Kai Chutney
Sundai Kai, cooked in gingerly oil along with small Onions, garlic, chilli, tomato, tamarind,. Also added coriander seeds, dhal, pepper, jeera. Little more coconut, curry, coriander leaves and hing to enhance the taste.

Sundai Kai – 200 gm (1 glass)
Small Onions – 10
Garlic – 8
Red chilli – 3
Green chilly – 1
Tomato – 1
Tamarind – 2″inch
Coconut – 5 tbs
Coriander seeds, thour dhal, chana dhal, ulund dhal, jeera – 1 tsp each
Pepper – 1/4 tsp
Salt, hing, curry, coriander leaves, gingerly oil.
Clean the Sundai Kai and wash. Cut into two or you can put in mixie and give just one pulse,.. So that it breaks into two.
Put in water, so the excess seeds will come out and settle down. Now take out only veggies, without seeds.
In 3 tsp of gingerly oil, fry it. Mix well, close and cook in low flame for 4 minutes. Now add a tsp of oil, fry dhal, coriander seeds, pepper, jeera to golden brown.
Add chillies, garlic, small Onions and stir for a minute, add tomato, tamarind, salt and cook for 2 minutes.
Add coconut, mix and switch off. Add hing, curry, coriander leaves and grind it to a smooth Chutney by adding little water.
It is ready, enjoy along with rice, Curd rice, Idly, dosa, bread.. By the way send me your feedbacks.
