Kasi Halwa is a traditional sweet mainly served in weddings.Here is the preparation method with easy steps.
This recipe is decided to my 100 k subscribers .. Gowri Samayalarai Family
Ash gaurd – 1/2 kg ( peeled, graded -2 cups )
Sugar -1 cup
Ghee -5 tbs
Saffron – 1 pinch
Salt – 1 pinch
Cardamom powder -1/4 tsp
Peel and grade Ash gaurd as shown along with the water of the Vegetables.
Measure the peeled Vegetables. ( 2 cups )
In a tsp of ghee fry it for 2 minutes. Add salt, Close and cook for 2 whisles.( Don’t add water )
Open and add sugar, and cook for 4 minutes. Add saffron, which is soaked in a little warm water.Add a tsp of ghee and cook for 5 minutes
When it comes to halwa consistency with a glasy look, add cardamon powder,roasted cashew and dry grapes.Add ghee.
