Arai keerai is available through out the year. Let us see a simple tasty poriyal. It is suitable for parrupu, rasam rice. This measurements will be enough for 4 members.
Arai keerai – 2 bunch
Big onion – 1
Red chilli – 2
Coconut – 2 tbs
Oil, salt, mustard seeds, Ulundu dhal, gram dhal
Cut keerai along with tender stems, wash well and stain water.
In oil fry mustard seeds, dhals, add splited red chilli, onion and fry for a minute.
Add keerai, mix well. Add 1/4 cup water and cook open in medium flame for 3 minutes.
Add salt, mix and cook for 2 minutes. When it becomes dry add coconut, mix well and switch off. It is ready now.
