This video Shows how to prepare home made Kollukatai : idiappam flour.
Raw rice – 500 gm
Wash and soak rice for 15 minutes.
Put in a strainer and keep it for 15 minutes
Spread in a dry white cloth and keep in shadow for 30 minutes.
Grind in a dry mixi jar to a fine powder. Sielve it as shown.
Keep the flour in steam plate or idly plate and steam cook it in medium flame for 8 to 10 minutes.
Take out and put in a dry bowl and keep aside for 2,3 hours, until it gets cool. U can n break out the lumps using hands. Handle it with dry hands and containers.
Now you can store it dry container. You can keep a week in outside and 2 months in fridge.
You can make Kollukatai, idiappam using this flour.
