Appam is a traditional sweet recipe made for festivals, especially for karthikai Deepam. This wheat flour Appam is a instant one, we no need to grind ingredients. Wheat flour recipes are suitable for Sathya Narayana Pooja.
Ingredients
Wheat flour – 1 glass
Rice flour – 2 tbs
Rava – 2 tbs
Jaggery – 3/4 glass
Banana – 1
Coconut – 3 tbs
Cardamom, dry ginger powders, ghee.
Steps
Melt jaggery with 1/2 glass of water. Let it cool.
Add all other ingredients except ghee. Filter and add jaggery water to the flour. Mix well, add additional water and make it as a dosa batter consistency.
Keep it aside for 20 minutes. Now add 2 tsp ghee in each mold of Panniyaram tawa, and pour the batter. Cook in medium flame for 3 minutes. Filp, and cook the other side for 2 minutes.
