Lemon Rasam is a traditional South Indian recipe..can be taken with rice and also as a Soup..
It is very mild and mind blowing.
Thour dhal -3 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Castor oil or cooking oil – 1/2 tsp
Pepper, Jeera -1 tsp each
Ghee, mustard seeds, assfotida, curry, coriander leaves
Wash and soak dhal for 15 minutes. In a glass of water add dhal, tomato, ginger, green chilly, coriander leaves, turmeric powder , castor oil. Once it boils close and cook for 3 whisles.
Open and mash it well .Add some water and salt.Powder Pepper and jeera, and add it to the rasam.
Put in flame and cook until it starts to first boil. In 1 tsp of ghee fry mustard seeds, assfotida, curry leaves and add it to Rasam.Add coriander leaves.switch off.. Add lemon juice, mix and close it immediately.
