Bombay Sambar
Roasted channa Dhal – 1 small cup ( powder it)
To grind
Coconut – 3 tbs
Cinnamon – 1
Cloves – 2
Fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp
Onion – 1
Green chilli – 4
Tomato – 1
Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder – 3/4 tsp
Garam Masala powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt, oil, bay leaf, mustard seeds, Ulundu Dhal, curry, coriander leaves.
Steps
In little oil fry bay leaf, mustard seeds dhal, add onion, chilli, curry leaves, fry for 2 minutes. Add tomato, ginger garlic paste, fry, add coconut paste, turmeric, chill powder. Add 1/2 cup water, boil for 2 minutes.
Mix powdered roasted gram with 2 cups of water, add it, add salt.. Let it comes to one boil, add garam Masala powder, coriander leaves.
It is ready, serve as a side dish for Idlies, dosais.. Enjoy.
