This is mango season, we can do vendaya kulambu or Vatha Kulambu using raw mango. This can be stored in fridge for 1 week. This will nice along with rice, Idly, dosa.
Raw Mango – 1
Tamarind – amla size
Vendayam ( fenugreek seeds) – 1/2 tsp
Kulambu podi – 2,1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt, gingerly oil, mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, jaggery.
Dry roast methi seeds and powder it. Soak tamarind and take out pulp. Cut mango.
In 3 tsp of oil fry mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves and add mango and cook for 2, 3 minutes.
Add turmeric, kulambu powder mix well. Add tamarind pulp and little water, add salt and cook for 5 minutes.
Add 1/2 tsp of jaggery, add water according to the consistency, once it boils add Vendayam powder, mix well and switch off.
Now yummy Mangai Vendaya Kulambu is ready. Try this and send me your feedbacks.
