Let us see how to make a chutney using cabbage. It is very delicious, suitable for rice, Idly, dosa, bread, chappathi. It will be good for diabetic people. You can store in fridge for 3,4 days.
Cabbage – 1/2 ( 2 large cups of chopped)
Tomato – 1
Red chilly – 3
Green chilly – 1
Coriander seeds – 1 tsp
Gram Dhal – 1 tsp
Ulund dhal – 1 tsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Pepper – 1/2 tsp
Tamarind – 2 “inch
Garlic cloves – 3
Salt, hing, gingerly oil, curry and Coriander leaves.
In little oil fry Coriander seeds, pepper, dhals, jeera. Add red chilly, green chilly, garlic and add cabbage, tomato and salt. Close and cook in low flame for 5 minutes.
Add tamarind, and close and cook for 2 minutes. Switch off, add hing, curry and Coriander leaves. Grind along with little water to a smooth chutney.
