Cabbage Mint Vadai
Channa dhal grinded along spices, add finely chopped cabbage, fresh Mint leaves and deep fried Crispy..
We usually do Parrpu Vadai. Instead of Onion, curry coriander leaves, here I add cabbage and mint leaves. It is very different in taste.
This measures will give you around 25 small vadais..
Channa dhal – 100 gm ( 1/2 cup)
Cabbage – 100 gm
Garlic – 2 cloves
Ginger – 1/2 inch
Red chilli – 2
Green chilly – 2
Fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon – 1 inch
Cloves – 2
Mint leaves – 5 tbs
Salt, hing, oil.
Wash and soak dhal for 2 hours. Cut only the leaf part of cabbage very finely. Don’t use the thick stem part. Cut Mint leaves finely.
Add all masalas, little Soaked dhal, add a tbs water and grind. Keep 2 tbs dhal aside and add other dhal, salt, hing in mixie, Grind course without adding water.
Squeeze the water from cabbage and add, add dhal, mint leaves and mix well.
Make vadai as shown and deep fry in oil. You can do one or two vadai first, check for salt.. If you want you can adjust and then do the rest.
You can make small unshape pakkodas also as shown.
