Phirni is a famous North Indian Kheer recipe, made by using Basumathi rice, milk and nuts.
Ingredients
Basumathi Rice – 3 tbs
Boiled milk – 1/2 liter
Sugar – 6 to 8 tbs
Badam, cashew nuts, pista, cardamom powder, saffron.
Steps
Wash and soak rice for 20 minutes, soak badam in hot water and peel the skin.
Grind soaked rice, 2 badam, 2 cashew coursly. In 1 glass of water add grinded paste and cook for 7,8 minutes. Add Boiled milk, and cook for 5 minutes.
Add sugar and allow it to boil. Add cardamom powder, switch off. Let it cool down to room temperature. Keep it in fridge for 2 hours.
Serve along chopped nuts and saffron as shown.
