Raw Mochaikai is a seasonal vegetable. Doing a fry type Poriyal with raw Mochaikai and potatoes is a easy recipe. It goes well along all types of variety rice and rasam, Parrupu rice.
Potato – 2
Raw Mochaikai – 200 gm
Onion – 1
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Chilly powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
Oil, salt, coriandar leaves.
Cook potatoes and Mochaikai for 2 whistles in cooker as shown.
Peal the skin and cut potatoes into cubes.
In 3 tsp of oil fry onion for 2 minutes. Add ginger garlic paste, potatoes, Mochaikai,salt, chilly, turmeric, coriandar Powders. Mix well and cook in low flame for 5 minutes.
Add very little water if need. Add pepper and garam masala powders. Add coriandar leaves.
