Rava Idly can be made instantly,.. Nice choice for tiffen along with coconut chutney.
Ingredients
Rava – 200 gm
Oil – 2 tsp
Mustard seeds, ulund dhal, gram dhal, jeera – 1tsp each
Cashew nuts – 5
Green chilly – 2
Cooking soda – 2 pinch
Curd – 50 ml
Salt, asafotida, curry leaves
Steps
In oil fry mustrad seeds, dhals, jeera, cashew, green chilly, curry leaves. Add rawa and fry for 2 minutes.
Add asafotida, and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
Add curd, salt, cooking soda, and water. Bring it to a idly batter consistency. Leave it for 20 minutes.
Now mix well, again add water to make it to idly batter consistency.
Pour in idly plate, and steam cook for 7 minutes.
