Kolla balls are mostly done by non. veg. We can make it using meal maker, it is very easy to make. It resembles Mutton kolla.
It is very crispy and tasty snack. It remains crispy for long hours.

Ingredients

Soya ( meal maker) – 100 Gm

Roasted gram – 5 tbs

Onion – 1/2

Green chilly – 1

Fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp

Cinnamon – 2

Cloves – 4

Ginger, garlic paste – 1/2 tsp

Chilly powder – 1 tsp

Salt, curry, coriander leaves, oil.

Steps

Soak soya balls in hot water for 20 minutes. Stain the water and wash it. Squeeze out the excess water, 2,3 times as shown.
This process is important, if it is watery.. It will not able to fry.

In a dry mixer jar powder the roasted gram to a fine powder. In the same jar add green chilly, ginger garlic paste, Cinnamon, cloves, fennel seeds and 4 soya balls and grind it without adding water.

Now grind soya just for a minute to a course. Don’t add any water. Now mix all together, add salt, chilly powder and mix well.

Add chopped onion, curry, Coriander leaves. There should be no water in it.

Mix well, and make it to a tight balls as shown. Heat oil, and drop one slowly and check, whether it breaks. If it breaks, add little more roasted gram flour to the dove and mix.

Fry 4,5 at a batch. Don’t over load. Don’t mix it while frying. After 3 minutes, turn it slowly and cook for another 3,4 minutes, until it becomes crispy.

If there is water in dove, or if you don’t make tight balls, or if you fry all together at once, or if you stir while cooking.. It will break in oil. If you follow this small, small tips you will get a fine crispy kolla.

Serve it with tomato sauce. It will remain crispy for a long time. So you can prepare this 2,3 hours before for your parties.
