Let us see how to make Tomato Sauce in home, without adding color and preservative.
Bangalore Tomato – 3/4 kg
Cinnamon – 2 “inch
Cloves – 3
Garlic – 4 cloves
Salt – 3/4 tsp
Chilly powder – 1/4 to 1/2 tsp
Sugar – 3 to 4 tbs
Vinegar – 2 tbs
Chop Tomatoes. In a white cotton cloth add Cinnamon, cloves and crushed garlic and tie it as shown.
In cooker add tomatoes, and the tied cloth and cook for 4 whistles. Don’t add any water.
Open and remove the cloth. Grind it along with the cooked water. Don’t add any other water.
Stain it as shown in the video, using a strainer and spoon.
Add the stained pulp in a pan, add chilly powder, salt, sugar and cook for 5 minutes in high flame. Stir in between.
Now keep in low flame and cook for 5 to 7 minutes. Add vinegar, mix well and switch off.
Keep it open until it cools down. Store it in dry container or bottle and keep it in fridge.
You can keep it in fridge for 1 month.
