We all like Naan,. But we think it can only made in restaurants, hotels using thanthori stove,. Let us see how to make it at home on tawa. That too using wheat flour, without yeast. This hole wheat Naan On tawa is a very simple method.
Hole wheat flour – 200 gm
Sugar – 1 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Fresh curd -50 ml
Oil – 1 tsp
Butter, cotton cloth – 2, cotton towel – 1, iron tawa.
Mix, sugar, salt, oil, curd in wheat flour. Add warm water and make it to a soft dove. Apply little oil over it. Roll it in a wet cloth and keep aside for 45 minutes.
Fold and keep the towel inside the cotton cloth and put knot, make it as like a pillow as shown.
Kneed the dove, make it to a lemon size balls. Dust it in dry wheat flour and roll it to a thick Chappathi.
Apply some water on one side as shown. Iron tawa should be hot. Put the Naan over the tawa, water applied side should be in bottom. Press it using the cloth pillow.
Cook it in medium flame for 1 minute and turn the tawa and cook it in medium flame as shown.
Once it done, take it as shown. If you want you can apply butter over it, when it is hot.
Wash and clean the tawa, before cooking next naan. You can get 6 naans in this measurement.
